Matic deal done

16.05: Manchester United have confirmed Nemanja Matic has joined from Chelsea on a three-year deal.
"I am delighted to have joined Manchester United. To work with Jose Mourinho once again was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down," Matic said.
"I have enjoyed my time at Chelsea and would like to thank the club and the fans for their support. I cannot wait to meet my new team-mates and to start training with them.
"This is a very exciting time for the club and I am looking forward to playing my part in creating more history for this great club."

Fiorentina win race for keeper

15.50: Manchester United are set to miss out on up-and-coming goalkeeper Federico Brancolini to Fiorentina, according to reports in Italy.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed the Red Devils were tracking the 16-year-old but he has opted to sign for the Serie A club.
"Leeds and Manchester United were involved, but the player decided ultimately to remain in Italy," Di Marzio said.
"Fiorentina's sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has secured the deal for Brancolini, the signature remains but should soon be resolved."

Man Utd chase Sancho

15:00: Manchester United have joined the race to sign Manchester City's Jadon Sancho.
The 17-year-old is attracting interest from a host of top clubs after starring for City's youth teams last season.
City are keen to keep hold of the 17-year-old but he is yet to sign a new deal with the club despite being offered a three-year contract.
And United are now looking to take advantage of the situation with the Manchester Evening News claiming the Red Devils are 'pushing hard' to sign him.

Man Utd face Ibrahimovic war with AC Milan

14:30: Manchester United face competition from AC Milan to re-sign striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he recovers from injury.
According to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, Milan are ready for a late battle with United to hand the Swede a route back into football.
It is said the big-money spenders have earmarked Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a potential January arrival at the San Siro.
And the former Milan hitman is considering a return, having shone in his two-year spell there between 2010 and 2012.
Milan have a potentially key pulling point too in that Ibrahimovic's partner, Helena Seger, retains a strong affinity with the Italian city.

Matic could be done today!

13:35: Manchester United could confirm Nemanja Matic’s signing later today of their trip to Dublin.
Matic completed a medical yesterday ahead of his £40million move from Chelsea to United.
The 28-year-old was pictured in a grey Manchester United training top yesterday with the number 31 on it.
United are expected to announce Matic’s arrival imminently, taking their summer spending to £150m following deals for Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof.
And the Manchester Evening News say United could confirm Matic’s signing later today ahead of their trip to Dublin for a pre-season friendly with Sampdoria.
The Red Devils play the Serie A giants at the Aviva Stadium at 7.45pm on Wednesday night.
Matic could make his first appearance in a red shirt against Sampdoria if his move goes through in time, most probably off the bench.

PSG president confident of Neymar deal

12:45: Paris St-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is "very confident" of signing Barcelona star Neymar.
The Brazilian superstar is edging closer to completing a staggering £196million transfer away from the Nou Camp.
PSG are willing to break the bank to land the 25-year-old and have been in talks with Neymar for months over a move, despite Barca saying he will not be sold.
However, Al-Khelaifi believes negotiations are going well and Neymar will complete the biggest deal in football history.
"Negotiations for Neymar are going well. I'm very confident," he said.

Lindelof NOT certain to start

11:45: Jose Mourinho has warned Manchester United signing Victor Lindelof he will take time to settle in at Old Trafford.
Mourinho is happy with Lindelof's contribution so far but admits he is not expecting too much from the 23-year-old too soon.
"Step by step," Mourinho said when asked about the young centre-back.
"Benfica is a giant club, I always think that players coming from Benfica come mentally ready because it is a big club and the responsibility to play for them makes players ready.
"But the Portuguese league is different and has different qualities.
"Benfica is one of the dominant teams, so he's more used to playing with the ball than without the ball, so he needs his time and we are going to give him his time to develop."

Neymar medical in Qatar

11:00: Neymar could undergo his Paris St-Germain medical in Qatar later this week.
The Brazil international is thought to have agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 giants in a move worth a staggering £196million.
He didn't return with the rest of the Barcelona squad from their pre-season tour of America, but instead flew to China for a sponsorship tour.
It's believed he will fly from there to Doha to meet with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and to take his medical, Qatar newspaper Al-Watan claims.
